Insurance & Mind Matters

Insurance Coverage for Brain Health Therapies

We are committed to making our services as accessible as possible. We accept a wide range of insurance plans, including Medicare, for our brain health therapy services.

Before beginning services, we strongly encourage you to contact your insurance provider to verify whether Minds Matter is in-network. If we are considered out-of-network, your insurance provider can explain which therapy costs you may be responsible for. We’re also happy to explore the possibility of becoming in-network with your provider.

Please be aware:

  • qEEG Brain Mapping and the follow-up appointment is not covered by insurance.
  • Submitting a claim to insurance is not a guarantee of payment.
  • You are responsible for understanding your coverage and any remaining balances.
  • Any services denied or unpaid by your insurance provider will be your responsibility.

How to Check Your Coverage for Services with Mind Matters

Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask the following:

  • Does my plan cover speech therapy and occupational therapy? (We can provide billing codes upon request.)
  • How many sessions are allowed per year?
  • Are telehealth sessions covered?
  • If not in-network, do I have out-of-network benefits?
  • Do I have a deductible to meet before coverage begins?
  • If yes, how much is my deductible and how much have I already met?
  • What is covered after my deductible is met?
  • Do I have a co-pay or co-insurance for therapy services?

Tip: Record the representative’s name and reference number during the call in case you need to follow up or dispute a claim.

Private Pay & Good Faith Estimates

If you’re planning to pay out of pocket and wondering about costs, just give us a call. We’re happy to talk through your options and share our rates with you upfront.

As required by the No Surprises Act, all uninsured and self-pay clients are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate before services begin. This gives you a clear understanding of expected costs so you can make informed decisions—no unexpected bills or hidden fees.
